Watch out everybody!The Kiwis are out to prove a point in the finals of the VB series.Not that they haven’t already, by getting into the finals against the Proteas.They have shown great character & patience alongwith their fighting spirit to beat the Kookaburras thrice and the Proteas once.By losing to South Africa by quite a margin and forcing the Aussies to win with a bonus point, they have shown the world that the Green Baggy isn’t the only one with smart tactics around.
The Kiwis have it in them to win this tournament.With opening batsmen like Astle & Vincent, cool headed Fleming & Harris, and big big hitters in Cairns & Mcmillan, their batting strength needs no review.Their bowling is also equal to the best in the world with Nash, Bond & Cairns dishing out their quickies, Vettori spinning webs of disaster all around the batsmen and Harris & Mcmillan with their useful slower ones.
There is no doubt in my mind that the Kiwis have it in them
to give the Proteas a run for their money.All they have to do is put their recent losses to South Africa out of their minds and come in to play with all guns blazing.Watch out, once again, the Black Cats are out to prove a point!!
