The Hindu has been a tradition with our family and we swear by it. There is no day which passes where we dont go through the pages of this wonderful newspaper. There is something about this newspaper, where you can never have enough.
Every morning you keep looking for the newspaper boy to come and delver the newspaper. As a matter of fact we used to have a fight at home, as to who reads the paper first thing in the morning.
Addiction of this kind is very good and espescially the kind of addictions that we hear of these days. There was a mention somewhere on this site that we are living in a fast paced competitiive age and things should change, even newspapers and their style, I beg to differ with this viewpoint, few things stand the test of time and The Hindu is one such.
For a South Indian, the morning is incomplete without his strong filter coffee and his dose of another drug called’The Hindu’, I would say this is the reason that you find that south indians are on a high all day:)
Coming to my subject in this review. For me The Hindu Crossword has been an addiction from my college days, my hands itch to get atleast a few clues even on a busy day, its my way of getting a high and to gratify my intellect. I have always felt the need for a forum to get together the enthusiasts of The Hindu Crossword and I failed to find any on the internet, this lead me to start a group which I moderate, and has been active for around 2 odd years now.
