I had bought a Godrej eon refrigerator and a fridge stand for my parents from Next at Vidyaranyapura, Bangalore on the auspicious day of "Vara-Lakshmi puja", 12-Aug-2011. When I had placed the order, I made a debit swipe of Rs. 17, 000/- . However, when my parents had received the refrigerator at home, they received no receipt and we were told that the receipt will be delivered later. My parents also payed Rs. 60/- for delivery charges although our house is barely 2 KM from Next showroom and Next had promised free home delivery. We agreed to that also.
But, that evening on 12-Aug-2011, we received a Bill of Rs. 16, 900/- when I had made a debit swipe of Rs. 17, 000/-. The receipt also had no mention of the refrigerator stand we had brought by paying additional Rs. 500/-. I was outraged by this behavior from the staff at Next, in Vidyaranyapura. I had made call to the sales man from Next, Mr. Sridhar, that we were given wrong bill for which he started making excuses, apologized and ensured that he would return the Rs. 100/- difference, which is not done yet. I have not yet received the money.
What bothers me here is not the Rs. 100/- difference, but the laundering of money that is being conducted by sales man at Vidyaranyapura, Bangalore by cheating on bill, not providing bill for items purchased and collecting money for delivery even though they promise free home delivery.
By saying all this, I wouldnt recommend that you dont buy from Next. Next will have lower prices than other stores, but I would like you all to gain from my experience and be careful when dealing with the staff. If you get a honest staff, go for it.
For me, I ended up having a bad experience with Next which would result in me never going back to Next again.
