Hello guys. This is my first professional review of the Nextbit Robin smart phone that was recently launched and manufactured by Ex-Google employee. Lets get started.
Going for the design, the Robin sports a great minimal design that looks and feels great! The LED flashes when your data is being synced with the cloud which looks great and real soothing. The angular sides are really good to hold and gives phone a contrast over other flagship devices. Even though made up of plastic, phone feels rather premium and sports a really good build quality. Symmetry is beautiful on this one. The 5.2 inch IPS display gives beautiful colors and the fingerprint scanner looks and works flawlessly.
Overall, design is a 9.5/10
Coming to the performance section, this little beast of ours sports a Snapdragon 808 hexa core unit which while not being the greatest chip on planet, works surprisingly great on the Robin. Doesnt get hot, doesnt throttle, and downloading 58 apps from Google Play doesnt throttle the performance of this beast.
Overall, performance is a 9/10
Now the thing which makes this phone special, SMART STROAGE. What this thing does is basically sending your least used apps and pictures and music and basically every single thing to the 100 GB storage. If needed by you at any point of time, it gets downloaded and is available to be used. It works like a point system where every app or file you use gets a point and the files with the least points gets uploaded to cloud. So according to me 32 gigs and smart storage will just make unlimited storage a real thing. And on the side note, almost stock Android experience makes this one a real cherry on cake.
Software will get 10\10 from me.
Wrapping this up, Nextbit Robin is a real good smartphone with a little magic up its sleeves with the Smart Storage thing. 399$ for such a good piece of tech is like a steal deal in my opinion. Im impressed and this Lil beast is highly recommend!
