This is no ordinary fraud, Nice Maple builds fake credibility and dupes people into buying stuff that never gets delivered.
Their promoters - Devanshu Kapoor & Avishek Kumar should be brought to book.
It is a private limited company - NICE MAPLE INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED
( CIN - U36100DL2022PTC399540)
And top it all, they claim to be have got funded of USD 5 Mn by a Singapore-based VC, tried finding the details on Pitchbook and Crunchbase but couldn’t.
To me, it seems to be just the tip of the iceberg.

This is what happened to me -
Some time back, I was looking for a Couch for my living room. While searching the internet, I came across the site ‘nicemaple.com’. A well-made site with good display of products and based out of Gurgaon.
As I always do a double check while buying online, I intentionally showed interest and someone from their ‘customer care team’ called me immediately. While I negotiated hard on a discount, they were not willing to budge beyond a point.
This further assured me that I was in for a genuine thing.
The furniture being a capital-intensive product, I was asked to make the entire payment of Rs 37, 000 as advance; the delivery was scheduled after 15 days.
On the scheduled date, when I started inquiring about my consignment on their customer care number, I started getting vague answers like there is no tracking mechanism as the logistics is handled by a local vendor.
When he was not willing to give me any other information like vehicle no, bill no. etc, it made me suspicious. One day on inquiry they said that it is stuck in their Bhiwandi godown, the next time on call they said that it will reach you today…the false promises continued.
After this, on numerous days my office staff and I have called on both the given numbers – 7042440969 & 8037915697, (one of them is their ‘customer care number’) to check on the delivery timelines. These numbers are nothing but fraudulent call centers being run by them.
Surprisingly many of the calls got picked up initially and they kept on making stories on the delivery details. Eventually, they blocked all our calling numbers.
Enraged by this I started searching for their social media handles and was shocked to find that many others have also been duped like me by them.
In fact on the website mouthshut.com, there are 1189 complaints about Nice Maple. If we consider that only 10% of the affected people will put their concerns there, then we are talking about approximately 10, 000 people who have been duped. If we consider an average order value of Rs 25, 000 also, we are looking at a nationwide fraud of approximately Rs 25 crores by these rogues!
I don’t know how many duped people have taken this step, but I have eventually lodged a complaint on the cybercrime portal.
