It is because of my intense pain I am writing this review. I joined NIIT Institute (Rajaji Nagar) in Jan 2007 only because it has a wide network of institutes throughout India, an old institute pioneered in training and placement. I realized only after joining the Institute that the faculties were BSc failed graduates who teach us to get experience in this industry. It took me 1 year to complete the JAVA course and forget about J2EE they don`t know the concepts then how come they train us. To say, I never understood the concepts of JAVA exactly then how come I could attend the interview and answer their questions. I learned by myself referring to many books and attended some interviews.
Placements:
Forget about the placements initially they pretend to get us placed in any of the companies but, you are never going to be placed. Secondly, they never inform you about the interview scheduled for NIIT institute candidates you get to know only after someone gets placed because it has happened to me 2 times. If they have informed me I would have placed in MPhasis. Now I realize I wasted my time and money instead I would have gone for some other institute. They never try to understand each person’s weaknesses and never train you in interpersonal skills (no mock interviews nothing).
Being a BE computer science graduate and having in-depth knowledge of JAVA I never got placed in the software industry. Now am back to my hometown and doing business.
Please think before joining the institute if you really need a job.
