In this post I would like to caution u if u or any one of ur friends/relatives have any plans to join NIIT. The NIIT was brand once a very trustworthy Institute for those who wanted to pursue computer as career.....they were very well did their job in helping people with jobs but that was in 1987-1995, 96 however as time has passed this institute has only been known to make pseudo assurances to innocent students & not even 50% of the claims they make during admission are not fulfilled, My brother joined this institute in Bangalore when their "D-NIIT" program was being hyped in ads over TV across India......the same hype is being done for their present "99 days job guarantee" & "Edgineers program" & "graduate NIIT" !!!!
My brother wasn’t given a single interview call & he paid nearly 50000/- for it.
If u think u get some sort of placement from these guyz after u finish the course FORGET IT no doubt they r very clever to choose course packages that r required in the Industry however U WON’T GET ANY PROPER TEACHING but instead u r heaped with their COURSE MATERIALS I would say that’s is only 1 benefit U can have!!! BUt if u want to join for just this study material then u either r in need to test ur level of intelligence or u have Lots of Money to just spend.
One of my friend got enrolled into some course over there & the trainer could not speak proper english......I came to know that their faculty is poorly paid & have to handle several courses whether they like it or not.....this has resulted in faculty leaving NIIT very briefly in the middle of courses leaving poor students to their fate & institute doesn’t give a DAMN about it.My friend tried numerous times giving complaints to the NIIT authorities none of them were even available most of the times to discuss it but when my friend finally got fed up & asked them to refund his money & quit the course same people suddenly became proactive in contacting him ...’coz they were about to loose a customer rather than a student !!! NIIT will even make their RECEPTIONIST/HOUSE KEEPING STAFF as trainer if they have to !!!!!!!!
I am a BE graduate ...i called them up to ask about a job oriented course they told me if I had 65% I would be assured interviews...now here’s a FACT if u r having 65% & above in as ur aggregate why the HELL would any one join their institute or any other????? they can directly apply for walkin interviews!!!!! These guys have a company of their own.....& if u r lucky/unlucky(if its just a mediocore job position with less pay) enough u may end up there ...provided u have made huge investment of MONEY rather than TIME to them.
Not only NIIT, institutes like STG, HCL, APtech are just brand names but let me tell u honestly U won’t find any placement or proper training in such places, SO SAVE URSELF from getting robbed instead u can do self-study & accquire knowledge.
