Since long NIIT is recognized as a pioneer in Computer education. Its GNIIT program is among the best long term courses offered by the computer institute in India which starts from the scratch and is very good for a beginner. They have very good study material which is prepared by a team of software professionals.
The main point of this program is they immidiately bring the necessary changes in the course curriculam to keep the course updated with the changing technology.
In our company we have recruited 4 GNIITians and all are fairly good in using present day tools and applying logic.
The high point of this program is they try to place the candidate for real time training in a company.
They also keep a regular monitoring of the candidate during the training period.
Apart from giving tech. education to the candidate they also try to improve the personality of the candidate as in their Quality mgmt. program.
They are not so well known for their short term courses.
First thing is that they provide courses mainly on Microsoft products but even then they are not considered to be no. 1 in those short term courses. Like they are not the renowned name in providing education in COM/DCOM .
IN VB/SQL SERVER their main competitor is SSI.
I would give more points to NIIT short term courses over others b’coz their study material is very good as well as their faculty.
If one is looking for advance courses than one shoul try for CDAC, CMC or ERDCI programs.
