I didn’t buy this product online. I bought it from nike showroom.
The reason being 1) Showroom was quite close to my residence 2) I was not very sure about buying it online since nowadays 90% of nike products online ( especially on ebay) are fake ( 1st or 2nd copies) and you cannot even tell unless you owned the same authentic product earlier and also sizing ambiguity. Though amazon is trustworthy. 3) I needed it urgently.
Now, I am a guy ( age 18) who belongs to a very middle class family who till now has worn only cheap running shoes like lakhani touch, lancer or some cheap models of adidas. I had a state level athletic event ahead and while practicing daily for 5Km I started to have some knee injury. I decided to have some real running shoes. But good ones like Nike Pegasus, Vomero, Puma Ignite, Skechers Ultra etc were way out of my budget so I decided to go with NIKE DOWNSHIFTER.
I got them for RS 2900. And I must say it is the best shoe I have worn till now. The cushioning is good. It is not a marshmellow type as in above mentioned shoes but fairly good as per the need of daily trainer. The sole is very responsive. The upper of the shoe is made of great material, it gives your feet a snug- sock-like feeling. The shoe is pretty light weight, I think the lightest in the price range. The look is sober and sexy, it looks far better in real.
SHORTCOMINGS : THESE ARE GENERALLY ISSUES WITH ALL NIKE SHOES
1) A bit congested toe box. : I ware UK 9 and I have a slightly wider feet
