Nike has really taken it to the next level with this advertisement.
The commercial starts with the coach Arsene Wenger sending’our man’ to the field. The commercial has been shot as a’first person’(aka Quake) playing real life soccer with real life stars. The camera work follows the eyes of the protagonist and whatever he sees is reflected in the camera.
From then on the commercial is an absolutely exhillerating watch. Be it the soccer stars on show like Christiano Ronaldo blowing a kiss, or Cesc Fabregas hugging’our man’ to Wayne Rooney scoring. Fot the myriad of soccer fans who would never be able to play along the likes of these magicians, this ad gives a taste of what it is like on the real football pitch.
The action on the filed is very realistic and the tackles flying, the passion and intensity is also seen in the advertisement. This is an absolutely brilliant coomercial. Nike has always come up with good ones but this one takes the cake. I can never stop appreciating the camera work. Imagine the heavy camera and the way it is moving, keeping pace with men like Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Wayne Rooney
. It must have been a herculean effort to get the ad just right. Hats off to NIke. This really is taking commercial making to’the next level’
