The best place to buy any expensive Nikon product is definitely the grey market. For starters it comes at half the cost. What you loose out is probably the so called warranty.Take my word for it the warranty is purely toilet paper it doesn’t cover these.
Humidity , Direct sunlight , Dust , Mishandling ( read all else except for factory defects )
So why pay so much for nothing. If you have a good relation with the grey market guy who sells expensive goods they don’t sell bad stuff as it has a cascading effect on their credibility . They even have service experts who are smarter than Nikon back end people.
