So far the experience with Nikon is a good one,
except that you have to purchase two batteries if
you want to shoot for long time.
The Camera was of excellent quality with good value for money but
the big problem which I faced was that the CoolPix station which was used
to recharge the battery, upload the photos to PC and view it on TV.
The process of connecting the wires is a cumbersome one and we have to carry
all the equipment if we want to store the pics on PC. Other company
models comes up with a simple USB connecting wires for uploading photos.
Having said that, dont misunderstand me that the piece is a waste.
The camera piece was a beauty and fits well within ur hand, u can carry
anywhere by keeping it in ur pocket.
Since Zooming is 3X , u cannot expect to take the far off distant shots .
One has to come out of Auto mode to really explore its features,
the 17 to 20 modes provided by the camera are simply superb. Depending on the situation, u
can choose the picture mode and capture beautifully."Close Up" shots are simply awesome.
Nikon Coolpix uses Nikkor lens (Nikon patented) and picture quality was excellent. However, if u see the picture in Camera, first the image will appear to be blurred and then it get steadied.Battery life is 6 hours for non-stop shooting. You can add upto 2 GB of memory slot and you can share it after uploading to Yahoo or Google.
My conclusion is if u r not bothered about "Cool Pix station" and ready to purchase an
extra battery for long shoots, go ahead. The piece is really worh ur money and one of the best in 5 Mega Pixel sigment.
Bye all,
