F80 Rocks :)

I have been using Nikon equipment for a while now and if you are looking for a camera that has it all then Nikon F80/N80 is it! And at the price its available at its a steal.

Some notable features...

-MB16 - Battary Grip - EXCELLENT ACCESSORY

-3 Metering modes with SPOT METER (Canon doesn’t have a spot meter)

-5 Area Auto Focus

-Built in Flash

-2.5 to 3 FPS of continious shooting and it takes the latest nikkor lenses ’’D’’ And ’’G’’ types.

-Depth of field preview button and it has a full manual mode too its also available in

-F80D (quartz date model)

-F80S (data back model) - This one prints the exposure in between the frames.

-The F100 cost well above Rs50000 and trust me F80 can do almost everything an F100 can...

I have an F80S with nikkor 50mm F1.8D nikkor 80-200 F/2.8D and sigma 105mm F/2.8 with SB80DX Flash and I couldn’t have asked for a better camera body for my kinda use :)

I have taken my F80 allover the country right from Ladhak to Rajasthan and it has always been ready to take picturesssssssss without a fuss without a glitch and without a hassle. Buy a nikon is also recommended because of the availablity of spares and accesories.. the grey markets in delhi offers a huge collection of nikon mount lenses right from the latest ones to the old AI and AIS lenses. The only short coming I saw was that you can’t use a Manual focus lens on an F80 so all my lenses from the FM10 and FE2 are gathering dust. The camera is also very easy to operate but do make a habit to read the manual it has a huge set of custom fuinctions. The MULTICAM900 AF module also works very well and I have turned off my Auto focus assisting light coz its kinda buggy.

Cheers,

Siddharth.

Buy it blindfolded.
