For manual focusing a switch provided but using it is not an easy job. Camera is heavy(900g+) for this segment.

Eye sensor& switch for viewfinder.
Eye sensor is not workingvia light sensitivity like Sony which was a good option. # if you wat to take a moon shot keeping your camera perpendicular and tilting the LCD pane. ey sensor cut in and LCD will be of no more use. I think its sensing object& not light.
Zoom snap button is good for ease of focus while it is zoom.Zoom buttons are provided on both sides.( left side can be assigned for manual focusing).In bird? moon mode a Zoom switch is available. # a single click of OK button and it zoom it almost 800mm.
HD videos are good but autofocus is not thefastest in the segment. At zoom more than 83x you might need to use a tripod. Up to 83x zoom can be handled handheld. previously I was using Sony hx 100 and I wanted to upgrade the Zoom. If you are into birdwatching / moonshots / wildlife this camera is for you.Trust me this super zoomer can take you to the moon and back. Go for it if you are looking for a unique camera.
