Kenneth Anderson (1917-1974) was born and brought up in India where he died at the age of 56 of cancer. He wrote 8 books altogether.
This is Andersons very first Book.
First published by George Allen and Unwin Ltd, London in 1954, in hardcover with photo plates and maps, and have been reprinted several times since. A recent paperback reprint of this book without photographs or maps was made in India by Rupa.

The book details the hunting episodes of several man eating tigers and leopards that roamed the Southern Indian Jungles of Mysore, Madras, Hyderabad and northern Malabar as well as hunting a rogue elephant.
Anderson was equally fascinated with snakes. While young, he used to bring live snakes in his pocket and release them among the unsuspected students, especially female students to see the excitement in full, earning him the nickname Snake Anderson which stuck till the end.
