"Ninja" is the New "Way"!

This is one of those very few movies I went for without any expectations. But the moment the opening scene unraveled itself, I knew I’m going to sing praises of this movie to all those I know. It’s definitely unlike any of those clichéd martial arts flicks where the hero goes on avenging the death of either his family, friend or his “Master”.

It’s for sure one of the fastest paced action flicks and the quickest action seen by me, in any movie, ever. Some combat scenes are so fast that you are sure to miss some moves even in slow motion and most of the brawls are sure to give a good amount exercise to your eye-balls.

Even the blood and gore shown, do not look as gory as in any of those ‘psycho-on-a-killing-spree’ series and still seems watchable, perhaps due to the usually dark and shadowy lighting during most of the fight sequences. The movie has lots of brawl, lot of blade and a sure lot of blood. Your Adrenalin would never stop gushing from the word “Go” till the very end.   Rain, the protagonist of the movie looks both fit to justify the martial arts abilities while looking vulnerable enough to be affected my emotions.

The cinematography by Karl Walter Lindenlaub is sure worth the applause and the original music composition by llan Eshkeri complements every scene to blend it with the mood and keep you glued to the seat. Young Director James McTeigue has done a noticeable job yet again after his directorial debut in V for Vendetta. *   For lovers of Martial Arts, raw and quick action, dark scenes and slick shots, it’s a movie packed with all that and more in one explosive package! Watch out Quentin Tarantino, Raymond Chow and John Woo, for Ninja is the new "Way"!!!
