I had taken my parents for 7 days South India tour last December. This was our first trip by Nirmala travels.
We had heard a lot about Nirmala Travels..lot of praises..positive things.
We were literally dreaming about trip before it started..Very exited.
But once we took this trip we realized nothing was true..In fact had a very bad experience.
The trip not up to mark. Our all excitement ended.
Issues:
1) First disppointment started as soon as we saw the bus. Instead of Nirmala travels bus, they sent SRS bus, which was below the standards. Bad smell was coming as soon as we boarded.
2) The trip manager Mr Shrikant was junk guy. He does not know that he needs to manage this trip not just sit with driver and chat. There was no entertainment in the bus. We were told there will be games , competitions conducted in bus. But Shrikanth did not conduct anything. It was very boring for us...
No TV in the bus ..it was not working properly.. .No good Movie CDs were ther either.
No good music also :-(...
Once in a while he used to come , give some snack & go..That’s all.
2) The accommodation in the night at hotels was poor quality. I think they book very cheap hotels (except in few places where it will be good...especially on the last day ;-) ).
3) The restaurants to which they take us for Lunch & Dinner are just average quality . they have restrictions on what we can order.
4) No hot water at the hotels for the morning bath..Imagine ...In december cold, we had to take cold water bath at 3 am or 4 am in the morning.. That too for elders.
5) They used to miss the schedules and hence make us get up very early in the morning (as early as 2 am sometimes) and take us to temple..
6) Everywhere we have to take any special darshan ticket...
7) the trip manager was not much courteous...
8) Sometimes snacks were skipped so that the trip manager could save money out of that..
Summary:
I would say Nirmala Travels is not worth of the Hype that is created for it.
It is not up to the standard.
Below average quality of the tours conducted.
I would not recommend Nirmala travels.
Try for some other travels which may give better experience.
