The following is a copy of our complaint to Nirulas - lets see if they still respond the way the old Nirulas management did.
We work in Sir Ganga Ram hospital as Consultants in the Department of ultrasound/ Radiology. You have a restaurant located in the hospital premises and on saturday, 16/02/2008, we ordered three non veg kebab - o mania platters from the restaurant. Our experience of the platter from your other restaurants has been that of five nice fresh kebabs and a full leg of Tandoori Chicken. The same is borne out by your website. The person on the phone took our order and in twenty-five minutes we were surprised to see three very small boxes being delivered. The boxes contained two small tikkas, one shammi kebab and two very tiny seekh kebabs ( 2.5 inches each). The kebabs were neither fresh nor tasty. They were tough, stringy and smelling awful. For these pitiful five pieces of meat, we had to pay Rs.159/- plus V.A.T. per platter.
The total bill was Rs.554.63 vide bill no.0034 bk no.0802161 dtd 16/02/08. We complained to the manager, a Mr.Gupta at 9313887358. He said, on being asked why the tandoori chicken was not there, that they didnt have a tandoor and hence were sending an extra seekh kebab. The seekh kebab is not even two mouthfulls, and also, if there is a change in standard menu items, the customer should be informed at the time of placing the order. Mr.Gupta said that they have a pictorial depiction of the platter in the restaurant. A customer who is placing the order on the phone will not be able to see that depiction and deserves to be informed. Mr.Gupta had no reply to this.
We have been confirmed Nirulas patrons ever since it opened, but after this experience, we and our families will think ten times before visiting any of your outlets, and as far as the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital restaurant is concerned, we will never order again from there. We are all feeling sick after eating it.
