This movie is meant for those who expect something different!
It is neither thriller/action nor a gooshy mooshy love story,
nor a comedy flick. If lacks the entertainment value as expected out of our bollywood movieslacks .
But if you like to see something different on the screen, then this is meant for you.
It is backed up by a good(controversial) story(although some may not take it in good taste),
some class acting and direction.
The story goes like this -
Amitabh and Revathi are a normal couple in their sixties.
Their daughter joines them for holidays along with her friend Gia.
Jia is very care free girl, who likes to live life on her own terms.
she is young, vibrant, sensuous, sometimes gloomy, quirky, emotional and amitabh soon finds himself getting attracted to her charms.
Gia is not behind and falls for amitabh as well.
The story unfolds slowly and depicts the complexities thereafter arising out of this strange relationship(which I dont wish to reveal here!). You better watch it on screen.
What I liked is - the director has not tried to make it dramatic,
but is quite realistic in his ways, though the original plot looks little unrealistic.
The acting is quite superb. Especially Gia - who is quite fabulous and fits into the role perfectly.
Never ever one feels that she is a new comer to bollywood.Amitabh is also fantastic as usual, well supported by revathi. The con is that it lacks pace but it is acceptable for this type of movies.
Go watch it, if you are not after songs/action/gushy-mushy romance!

Anup
