I bought my Nissan Sunny XL diesel at Madurai Jeevan Nissan this january. I heared about nissan dealer’s bad customer service and my expectation also same with jeevan nissan, but its totally opposite from the time of booking till delivery of my car, fabulous customer service, I took delivery in 5 days.Ok this is all about dealer, now coming to main picture.
My brand new sunny, its more than expected and more than what I paid. Excellent car and VFM car. Nice space, comfort, ride, and much more excitement and its rear passenger’s heaven. Nissan makers not only concentrated on pilot seats but also they shown mercy for rear passenger. Lets see about engine and mileage. 1461 cc with 85bhp which is well suited for city and highway.No lag, fair drive quality, overtaking is not an issue and can switch from 30 kmph to 100 kmph in fourth gear which means less gear shift.
Mileage? I can say this is the only car can give more mileage than ARAI certified. solid 23kmpl in highway at 120kmph with 2500 rpm and non stop auto climatic control and five persons on board and 3/4th filled boot, in city its about 18 to 19 kmpl.Now focus on features, Dual airbag, ABS, EBD, electrically operated ORVM, automatic climatic control etc. Braking is a bit lag in initial stages but now its good and can feel the ABS in it. Lets go for comaprison with skoda rapid and verna.
Rapid : pros over sunny : excellent engine with more power, robust built body. cons over sunny : Space, Features, comfort , mileage, high price ( Rs 80, 000 more than sunny)
Verna : pros over sunny : better engine, excellent styling. cons over sunny : Space, Features, comfort , mileage, high price ( Rs 90, 000 more than sunny)
I’m not a racer to go for high powered engine, I’m a normal indian who ask (kitna detha hai).
I can bet you, you’ll get this longer wheel base only in premium sedans and not in its class.
I have driven 8000 kms in these 3 months and I’m still enjoy driving this car.
We family of four members traveled nearly 800 kms at a stretch from kanyakumari to chennai in 9 hrs. Can you guys imagine travelling these many long distance with four persons on board with a single driver driving it. Im the driver and I enjoyed this drive with average speed of 120kmph and mileage of 22 kmpl.
I vote for sunny and I recommend this car for all.
