A great overall Package for the Price

I just had my New Sunny XL DCI White , three weeks back . I am very comfortable with the car and I am happy switching from my Hatch Back (Hyundai i10) to a Sedan. The ride quality is very good, doesn;t feel that I am driving a Diesel, very refined .

Looks- It isn’t a eye turner , but got some decent looks when compared with other cars of this segment .

Space Inside-This is one of the main ups of this car and it has a room which you would only get in segments like Skoda Laura or VV Jetta. It can very comfortably accommodate 5 full grown adults without any compromise.

Interiors-The quality of the interiors are good and there is not much to complain . The stock Audio system is decent and it comes equipped with 4 speakers , and the sound quality is good. The missing of the USB port is a big disappointment. The steering mounted controls make it use to use .

Safety Features - Nissan Sunny is equipped with most common safety features since it is an entry level sedan. However, both active and passive safety features can be seen in Nissan Sunny. The safety provision includes front dual airbags, ABS  with EBD and brake assist, front disc brake, halogen headlamps, front fog lamps , impact absorbing body, all seat belts, engine  immobilizer, keyless entry, front and side impact beams, central locking, child safety locks, day and night inside rear view mirror, etc. Easy and responsive handling of the Sunny is not a concern as it is coupled with power steering, wider wheelbase, aerodynamic design, etc.

Braking -The braking system is made more powerful with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic BrakeForce Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA) .Braking capability is good , however, the brake pedal feel could be further improved. There is about an inch of play before the brakes actually begin to work hard. the brakes just seem somewhat slow to react. I am not sure if this could be amended by the service centre. Need to check on my next service.

Aircondition -The aircondition is great and chills in no time , even on hot days . The chillness at the rear is also very good . The rear blower is a gimmick. It actually isn’t connected to the air-conditioning system. All the rear blower does is suck in air from the front and throw it back. The climate control works great .

Boot Space- The boot is simply great.  You get 490 liters of space and loading and unloading is very practical.

Driving and Mileage- Its 1.5L diesel engine with  84 BHP is  peppy to drive  in both the city and highways. The mileage on the Sunny is awesome and I have been maintaining a 1500 RPM for my first 1000 kms and I got an impressive 23.30 kmpl.

Dealer Experience- The only thing bothered me was the dealer experience as I wasn’t  really happy with them. The dealer quoted me an Insurance amount of Rs 29198 , but when I received the Insurance copy, the total value on it was only RS 23656 , and the dealer has clearly cheated me Rs 5542 .When I asked about this to the dealer , one one was able to give me a proper explanation . I request you to take a note of the insurance before purchasing the car. To put together , my experience with the dealer was AWFUL.
