After driving swift diesel for almost 7 years(100000 kms) I have sold it to my relative and acquired Nissan terrano XL in Nov 2013.this decision came for my desire to own SUV but comfort like a car. here are some view for this product which can help in your buying decision.
First the bad:
1) as compared DDIS 1.3 L found in swift, 1.5 L K9K(85 PS) is not so agile but almost zero turbo lag and it pulls from 1000 RPM however would not surprise you like DDIS if you cross 2000 RPM.
2) rear seat space is less than indica vista even size almost double.
3) going in and out may be issue for people having 6+ height.
4) AC I found less chiller that my swift however it does the job.
Now good:
1) engine is not for drag racing kind of but perfect work horse and very fuel efficient (getting 21 kmpl in city consistently).
2) you will never know which kind of road you are driving on as it kills all bad roads mercilessly.
3) very much car like to drive and nobody roll.
4) spacious boot.
5) brakes feel less confident but emergency braking proves they worth.
6) killer looks from front and very modern look from back.
7) no rattles and metal sheet is of reliable quality.
8) OEM tyres are good quality.
Also my experience with Oxford nissan(baner, pune) was good and provided car within promised time. just did first service after 10 k/six months and cost of service was just 4k.
Thanks
