I’ve been driving the Nissan Terrano XV 110 PS for over a year now, and it’s been an overall satisfying experience. This SUV has the right mix of style, performance, and practicality, especially for Indian road conditions.
Performance ( 4.5/5) :
Under the hood, the 1.5L dCi diesel engine with 110 PS of power and 248 Nm of torque is powerful and smooth. The 6-speed manual transmission offers a punchy drive with great control on highways. The turbo lag is slightly noticeable below 2000 RPM, but once past that, it pulls very strongly.
Ride & Handling ( 4.7/5) :
One of the best things about the Terrano is its ride quality. Whether youre on highways, pothole-ridden city roads, or rough rural tracks – the suspension handles it all. High-speed stability is excellent, and it feels planted even during sharp turns. The steering is responsive but slightly heavy at low speeds.
Comfort & Interior ( 4/5) :
The seats are wide and supportive, especially in the front. Rear legroom is decent, and three people can sit comfortably in the back. The dashboard layout is simple, but the build quality feels solid. Nissan could’ve added more premium features like automatic climate control or a better infotainment system.
Fuel Efficiency ( 4/5) :
I get around 16–17 km/l in the city and up to 20 km/l on highways with a light foot. For an SUV of this size and power, thats quite efficient.
Build Quality & Design ( 4.5/5) :
The rugged design gives the Terrano a bold SUV stance. It looks tough and stylish without being overdone. The ground clearance is excellent, and body strength feels solid. You feel secure and in control behind the wheel.
After-Sales & Service ( 3.5/5) :
This is the only area where Nissan could improve. Service centers are limited in some areas, and spare part availability can be slow. However, the maintenance cost is reasonable and the car hasn’t given me any major issues so far.
Verdict:
If youre looking for a solid diesel SUV with great driving dynamics, good mileage, and muscular styling, the Nissan Terrano XV 110 PS is a smart choice. It’s a value-for-money SUV that does the job with minimal fuss.
