Since the movie is getting released now I am re-writing my review and presenting it here.
Nital was in the Indian competition category of the Osain Asian film festival, Delhi. Good to see Marathi movie coming out of the Saas Bahu sagas and waking upto really good new plotts still maintaining its strong hold-the family. Almost all the Marathi stage characters make their appearance but Neena Kulkarni steals the show with her scene with the leading lady. The tracks are awesome but a lttle longer at few places. Atlast Marathi cinema has taken a U turn to its old hey days of melody. While talking to Mr. Sukthankar, the co-director of the movie I realsed hoe well they have tried to make it look good with the budgetory constraints. And it did look good! For an avg cinema goer it provides with a wholesome entertainment as any person will identify himself with atleast one charater and for people into serious cinema its nothing less than a treat. The Osian gave a tribute to the great Bengali film maker Ritwik Ghatak. With his all films having family as basic theme Nital was surely a humble tribute to him. I would say its a much watch for Indian audience, I refrain from saying Marathi audience.
