Should you ever go to Calcutta this is one joint I would
definitely recommend. The Katti rolls mentioned are too good
it is a roll made in paratha with pieces of chicken or
mutton but good.
Located just outside New market, this was my joint in childhood
my dad used to always give me a treat on the day he got
his salary. And believe me I have eaten this roll at 00.50 paisa
per role.
But their dishes are really good, I cannot tell you what the look
of the restaurant is like now days, as years have passed since
I went there but last I went it was the same old Nizams a
bit costly, so what we have also grown in size and height
so should the prices and the decor is still the same old
only a little changes, yes service is still good.
You see people of Cal enjoy eating so taste their Nahari
it is a dish made of mutton paaya like soup.
Most of their dishes are enjoyable but the rolls are out
of this world.
And if you do go do not forget to visit the New Market
and buy the AAMSAT too tasty and the marzipan sweets of
Calcutta are things to be tasted.
But the best thing to enjoy is the Katti rolls and
should any of you people visit before me keep one aside for me.
I do not think reservations are required as Nizams has always
been spacious and it was the same the last time Id been there
do advice to go a good joint in taste as well as rate wise.
Easy on the pockets as well and very close to everything
a cinema the biggest market as well so you
can drop in after shopping around making yourselves real
hungry to enter Nizams and eat to your hearts content.
But folks do not forget the Katti rolls do taste one
and let me know Ill be waiting.
Bye and Happy New Year to all out there
See you soon
Sushama
