Chacko's 'Kingdom of Heaven'..

Here’s again a tale of "Family unity at the time of a crisis". It can’t be termed as a movie’s fault when it drags & drags, given the plot is based on a novel or book. Regret the conventional timing of our movies, maybe the makers had to prolong it. This would have been a winner if it was a’short-film’

Cast

  1. Lal - He’s such a mature actor that whatever be the role given, has always gotten into the skin & here also he lives as Chacko - a god fearing, highly sensitive, dumb, confused but a loving father, son & husband. A decent performance.

  2. Shanthi krishna - It really doesn’t much feel that she took a massive break from movies. She’s as good as she was.

  3. Siju Wilson - Wonderful & that’s the only word. I bet this guy will make it very big soon. People in the theater really found his appearance a relief among boring scenes. A very natural actor(far better than our current young stars), who delivered a neat performance throughout the movie. A+

Other than these 3, there’s Saiju Kurup, Sharafudeen & Shrinda(upto an extent) whom despite their small roles, gave a bit of laughter.

Nivin Pauly & Ahaana Krishnakumar leave nothing memorable as such. Aishwarya Lakshmi(Nivin’s pair) can be termed a very wrong choice.

The movie has two songs. Music by Justin Varghese is fine & cinematography by Mukesh Muraleedharan is outstanding.

Overall, it felt that this movie was a failed attempt of "Jacobinte Swargaraajyam Part II" .

Stories of families, their bonding, love, no matter how much it’s retold, still remains fresh and heartwarming in audience’s minds, BUT’Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela’ ends up as one which could have been finished within 1.5 hours or earlier, but had to be extended to 131 minutes.
