No Entry: Hillarious Moments Ahead

We all are familiar with the David Dhawan school of filmmaking. Many a times, other directors tried to shift gear by trying to emulate Dhawan’s magic. Now lets add another name to this list- Aneez Bazmee. Yes, this movie seems to be a true tribute to David Dhawan’s style and work. Why not after all Aneez Bazmee has had been associated with David Dhawan as a writer in some of his big ventures like Aankhen, MSK etc.

There is a lot of things going in this films favour like its grand starcast and the music of the film which is getting popular day by day. As a result there is huge hype which is surrounding this movie. Now the big question is that: Does it deliver?. And the grand answer is ’’YES’’. Infact it delivers in a big way.

No Entry is the story of three man- Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor and Fardeen Khan who get entangled in a comedy of errors. Anil Kapoor runs a publishing house where Fardeen works as a photographer. Lara dutta plays Anil’s doubting wife. She is an annoying character who always doubts that her husband is having an affair with some other lady. Salman is Anil’s friend. Unlike Anil, he is a playboy by nature who believes in enjoying life to the hilt. Esha plays the role of Salman’s wife. Things take a turn when Salman takes Anil to the No Entry bar where he meets Bipasha for the very first time. Now the story takes a leap and puts you in a sea of delicious comedy.

The first half is good and has some memorable moments like the panditji sequence in the garden. But it is the second half that brings the house down. The film would not have been complete without some great performances from Anil Kapoor and Salman Khan. If you have seen a frustrated Anil in My Wife’s Murder then get ready to see him in a complete contrasting mood. He is in complete form. Salman as we all know has a great comic timing. He has proved it once again. Though he is not there for a quite a long time in between but still he compensates for it in the climax. Fardeen Khan does not get much scope in the first half but in the second half he gets a lot of focus and he uses the oppurtunity to a large extent though he needs to improve his expressions a bit.Among the ladies, both Lara Dutta and Bipasha stand out. Lara as the doubting house wife is absolutely convincing. Same for Bipasha. She gets to play the role she is good at- the glamour girl. But not only does she look glamourous but she also puts a commendable performance. Celina is ok. Esha does not get much scope.

On the whole, the movie is a laugh riot. Just go and watch it. But wait there is just one warning- leave your thinking hat at home.
