I love the Nokia 1100 mobile phone for several reasons. This phone has lasted me for 10 years of constant use for texting and calling without any problems. I didn’t even have to change the battery in all these years. I switched to the Nokia Lumia only because I needed to have a smart phone.
I bought this phone new for less than Rs. 2, 000 because I wanted a sturdy phone that would work well in remote and rural areas. I wanted a phone that would not split open after the first fall. My friends all tried to dissuade me from buying this phone because it doesn’t have a color screen, no fancy ringtones, or camera or any of the bells and whistles that other phones had.
I am glad to say that I decided to ignore their advise and buy the Nokia 1100 because it has proved its mettle and has supported my life for over 10 years and continues to work. Only thing is I don’t need it any more so I donated the phone for electronic recycling.
I would recommend this phone to anyone who wants a basic phone for talking and texting and one that is sturdy to the core.
Another feature of this phone is the great reminder feature and the flashlight which has helped me when I travelled to rural India on assignment.
