Review on Nokia 1100

The nokia 1100. One of the most basic phones you will ever get to see. By basic, I exclude features such as a fm radio and a camera and colour screens. Its slightly curved rectangular shape with smooth bulges here and there makes for a snug fit in your hand, aided by the ridges on the vertical sides which the company claims to aid you in grip. The display screen is almost just right in terms of size, and is in bright yellow. The model with the screen being offered in brilliant white is named as the 1108, but the colour is the only difference.

The best feature of this phone is the integrated keypad which is firm and doesnt have any gaps in between so rule out the possibilities of any dust grains settling there. The power button is also located in the keypad itself.

You can store upto 40 messages on this phone, give or take a few more. ’’Multimedia’’ messaging in this phone is only available in the form of ringtones(monophonic) and picture messages. You can store only seven extra rigntones apart from the standard ones. Only two games preloaded they being snake II and space impact. The best menu features of this phone were the reminder and the composer.

But the best feature yet of this phone is the in-nuilt flashlight at the top where the power up button in most other phones is located. This flashlight is pretty powerful but only in conditions of pitch dark would you get to see its full intensity. Battery life is awesome with regular usage seeing only a marginal drop in it.

Like I stated at the top of this review, this is a very basic phone. No fm and no camera, You could purchase this phone if you are not interested in other frills and features and you are a very rough handler of phones. I have dropped it about three

times till now, the only problem occuring as a result of the fall was the keypad being dislodged but a firm press of the finger and this settles into its original position. I just dropped it, this phone of course will not survive a ’’100 mile per hour’’ impact on a wall from your hand. If you are not restricted by your budget then look elsewhere for an entry level phone. Otherwise this model should make and excellent buy.
