Now the title of this review may sound like a tagline for jeans or something, but no, it is meant for the phone!
Anyway, about this phone, I started using this phone around 3 months back, after my old high end was stolen. So it was like going in the opposite direction, with all my friends switching over to colour phones and me doing the opposite!Which is why I am not going to talk a lot on the features, as all the others her will talk about it. Also, my old phone had a lot more features, and it will just make me feel worse about losing it! So I will bring out some other aspects that are not relly considered.
I wanted a phone that would be in the lower price segment, as well as something that looked good. This phone fitted the bill perfectly. It looked good, had all the basic features and seemed to be the most practical option for me at that point in time. Being used to a colour screen, I was very sure that I wanted a phone with a white backlight. So that was one of the strong points in choosing this phone. White backlight, unlike a blue or yellowish green or orange, as some lower-end models have, is not at all stressful for the eyes and also makes reading it a lot more easier with improved visibility.
Then we have the radio. One thing I absolutely love! It has made long dreary journeys a lot more musical and entertaining, and also saves me the trouble of carrying a walkman everyday, or worrying about carrying an extra pair of batteries. And that brings to mind the stereophonic handsfree. It is really good, the sound quality is amazing, and the position of the mic is also very well thought of, so you are actually hands free, unlike some other hands-free kits wher eyou are supposed to hold up the mic to talk... Then what is the use of a hands-free I don’t understand!
Another thing is the battery. It is quite good and lasts for upto two and a half days, which is quite good for normal usage. Unlike some other people, I have no problems with my battery. (Please make sure you buy a box pack to avoid any problems!)
Apart from this, there is the reminder function, the customisable shortcuts and other basic features that you can use.
The best thing about this phone is it’s shape and size. It just fits so snugly into the palm that it’s actually really nice to hold, as well as doesn’t bulge out of your pockets. This may sound like a superficial benefit, but I consider it a good one, as most of the other variants are either too rectangular, or too slim, or too big to put in your pockets without people coming to know!
However, the one thing I am really dissapointed with is the memory - both the phone memory, which is only 50 numbers and the message memory, I have to go on deleting messages all the time!
All in all, I would recommend this phone to people who are looking for a low price phone with a little bit of entertainment too. And yes, not for people like me, who came down from a higher end model, to a lower one! Otherwise, it is fairly good on all counts!
