Nokia 2300 Cell Phone

I must first admit that I have not been a regular at mouthshut, although I had registered here some time back. Today I was just going through some reviews & I thought I will also participate.

I was using Nokia 3310 for some time and recently I just wanted a change. Thus I landed up on 2300. I have been using it for about 2.5 months now. Let me tell you how I felt it.

The great thing about it is the FM. I dont think anybody alse have that option in the Rs. 5000/- class. FM is wonderful. (one of the main reason I bought it).

It has got good looks as well. Although there are different colors available, I think the grey is the best. Its classy, man...

The sterio hands-free is exceptional. Whenever I use the handsfree, the person on the other end asks me, ’’ohh its so loud and clear... its as if you are near to me..’’ This has happened a number of time in the short span. I think that was great!!!!!

Another feature I fell in love with was the loudspeaker. It is useful when u as a group talks with somebody. The clarity, on your end & on the other end are reasonably good. Also when I am at home I put the loudspeaker on and you are ’’hands-free without the handsfree’’.

This has ’’in-call-timer’’. Means you can see the call duration while on the call.

4-way brousing buttons. Good one. Also one button you can customise for frequently used menus. For eg Radio. Can be added to it so that you dont have go through the menus to reach there.

Polyphonic is not bad.

Has a small phone memory. (50 nos)

In messages you have ’’sent items’’, ’’Sreened messages’’

All these with warrenty for less than 5000 bucks.. Its worth it..

These are main adavntages I found on this one..

I met with some disadvantage also.....

The feel of the keys especially the 4-way browse buttons are not as good as other models, say 3310 itself. Sometimes it may not get pressed and some other times it get clicked twice...

There is no picture editor.

Should have had color display.

In short, its a good package by Nokia.
