NOKIA 2600
Nokia which is known as the leading cellular phone company in India has produced a cell phone with limited features which is the new Nokia 2600. It is a simple basic coloured model. Nokia produced it because it was lack of an economical colour phone. To overcome this it has produced it which costs about 3900. It has a similar operating system as other nokia models. The features and specifications are given below.
Operating system : It is a dual band phone and has same operating system as the other nokias. The operating is very easy to use. Even an illiterate could operate it!!
Keys : The key pad is comfortable to use. The four way navigation key is very useful that you can slip through the menus fastly and with out any miss pressings.
Design : It has a dual color body and is slim and sleek. The silver coloured cover around the screen is very attractive. There is a nokia logo behind the phone.
Menu : The menu consists of options like Messages, Contacts, Call register, Settings, Alarm clock, Reminders, Games and Extras. It can be viewed both in grid and list styles.
Messages : In this option one can write and send SMS. Inbox messages are available in this option. Picture messages can also be sent. There are other options like Message settings and distribution lists which are also useful.
Contacts : In this option one can store names and phone numbers. Adding or deleting a contact can also be done. One can assaign various tones for various contacts. The other options are settings, copy and edit.
Call register : Under this option there are missed, received and dialed calls. One can check the calls durations. The calls can be deleted also.
Settings : In this option there are various options like Tone settings, Display settings, Profiles, Time settings, Phone settings, Call settings, Cost settings, Security settings and right navigation key settings. All these settings can be altered in this option.
Alarm clock : Under this option one can set the alarm time and assaign a ringing tone for it.
Reminders : In this option one can set reminders or dates. If you forget an occasion it will remind you. Calender option is available to check the dates.
Games : There are three games in this phone. They are Bounce, Mobile soccer and nature park which are interesting to play.
Extras : In this option there are several options. They are composer, in which you can compose and send monoponic tones. Calculator is the same as other models. Calander and count down timer are usual. The new option introduced is the spread sheet in which one can save their daily expenses.
Good points are it is the highly affordable nokia colour phone. It has got good themes and ringtones. The operating system is easy to use. It is slim and sleek dual colour phone. The spread sheet option is excellent. Good phone for SMS ers and ringers. Loud speaker.
Bad points are first it is a dual band phone. No way of customizing the phone. No JAVA applications. No USB support. No infrared port. Only 4096 colours. Problem in operating between the navigation keys and OK button.
