I bought a nokia 2626 2 months back.had to do some aggresive research as my budget (ie what my father gave me) was RS 2500.I intended to buy Nokia 6030 but found 2626 was newer with exactly the same features.It is more sleeker and stylish than 6030 which looks like a small brick.
The phone has the most features packed in it and has great value for money.
The features at a glance are
1.FM radio, you cant live without it.
2.GPRS, can download almost anything.
The menu navigation is easy and user friendly.A hindi sms option is also included.
The sound quality is decent in the loudspeakers and good with the bundled earphones.
The phone can be used for MMS messages.
Another feature is the inbuilt email application.it can be configured for use with many email providers.I only used it with my gmail account and it works fine.But the response is liitle sluggish.
The phone can be used to record ongoing calls.
And I come to the weak points of this phone
An almost irritating problem is the lack of memory.Only 500kb for jvm. And almost all applications use java .Frequent crashing of applications(not inbuilt) is a major headache.
Operamini faces this problem and it is referred in their website.
Gmail application works fine.
But google maps doesn’t even load sometimes.
The storage memory is at most 2.5 mb but some of it is taken up by pre-loaded contents.
I deleted the pre-loaded games and you could think about the reason.
The phone would have been a great buy if it had pc connectivity and modem capability.
