Latest Nokia-2700c----Lot More for Less

After the sudden loss of my previous mobile ROKR E8, I was determined not to go for a costly mobile anytime soon as im living away from home in a Hostel(fear of loss of mobile again).I thought not Moto again, due to non availability of third party themes or softwares.

So I took this cute little 2700 classic. Its one of the recently released ones from the Nokia Bandwagon. Dont go by its looks alone. Fits the bill of a multimedia phone very easily. Actually I dont miss a single feature from my previous phone which cost me 13K. A good value for money phone at Rs.4910, but still not lacking any feature from multimedia phones.

Features:

Series 40 platform

1GB Memory card(MicroSD included) extendable upto 2GB with hotswap.

2MP cam-without flash+video recording with 15fps

FM with RDS

Music Player

Mini Opera Browser

240x320(TFT QVGA screen) with 262, 144 colours

Bluetooth version 2.0 (pairable with bluetooth headsets)

Voice Commands

and a lot more...

My favourites

->Contacts can be added to Groups.

->Favourite contacts which we can define to use in messaging, etc..

->Again the Nokia Headset (WH-102), which comes with the device lacks the bass, overall punch. But wait it has a 3.5mm jack for Audio output. I can use my favourite Earphones with this phone. It can play videos in both portrait and landscape modes. ->Watching videos is a wonderful experience, with vibrant, colourful screen.

->Browsing is lightning fast on Opera Mini.

->Pics are crytal clear as on any 2MP Nokia.

-> Doesnt come with a micro USB port in the box, nor the PC suite CD-ROM is included(cost cutting is done here).Compared it with similar cost mobile Nokia 5130 XpressMusic phone(Rs 5799). Nothing is changed except the cover/shell(every spec). No problem without the CD and wire as we can get the PC suite from the Nokia Site, micro USB port from the market.

-> Keypad is a bit tough but OK.

-> External speaker is loud enough to give Sony Ericsson walkman series’ a run for their money.

-> battery backup - mine gives three days even if I speak atleast one hour a Day.( when I dont play music). if I listen to music now and then, then we have to charge it once every 48 hrs.
