Review : Hey friends, I dont write all that often on mouthshut. So excuse any errors. I use to use a Nokia 3310, so if I am amazed by any feature which may be said to be a regular one, please understand.
I bought the Nokia 3100 a week back. I am extreamly happy with it. I am a college going guy, and I don’t think someone of my age needs anything more than this. It has a attractive colour screen. It glows in the dark, (looks extreamly kool). I have a blue colour piease, and I guess its also available in pink (very ladylike) and white (havent seen it yet).
Your can store upto 150 messages or 50 picture messeges. There are loads of pre-saved picture messages. The fone is equipped with MMS and SMS. There are some brilliant wallpapers stored which look very nice.
I am not a great fan of polythonic ringtone, but I guess its not much of a problem. The downloaded ringtones sound just about alright.
The backlight is as good as a tubelight. Overall the looks are preety chick and I would think it would suit the youngsters more than anyone else. The annimated screensaver is a good feature.
It has the usual Nokia functions like Calculator, Calander etc. It also has GPRS, but I hardly use it. It has new games like BEACH RALLY, BOWLING, and the UPGRADED SNAKES. They are fun.
Another plus point is.. It has a short cut key on they keypad itself. Thus short cuts maybe set to important functions such as inbox.. alarm clock etc. Thus the inbox is juz 2 keys away, which otherwise wud be nearly 5 keys away.
There are various seperately available attachments, such as a camera, radio-handset etc.
Overall, I am very happy with the handset. I guess its the what any youngster would be happy with.
