I purchased a new cellphone because my old trusty 3310 finally retired after 6 years of reliable service. I was not looking for anything flashy because the city where I live is teeming with cellphone thieves! The 3110 classic caught my eye because its looks are simple, down to earth. Never did I know that it is packed with so many features - for a simple looking unit and low-priced at that! Even if the product was out of stock, I paid the store in advance so I can have the unit as soon as they have it in their inventory again.
Pictures in the internet dont do justice to the phone. When you see it in person and hold it in your hands, its a beautiful piece of equipment. Black, shiny, sleek, solid. Its back is made of rubbery non-slip material. Its so nice to handle.
Its like a hamburger with everything in it - 1.3 mp camera, video cam, fm radio, music player that plays most music formats, 3-band, blue tooth and infrared, long battery life, expandable memory up to 2 gigs, email, internet, chatting, etc. For those with poor eyesight, you can adjust the size of the fonts in the SMS.
But you cant have it all.
Everytime I send a text message, there reads "message saved for sending" but when I look at the "saved items" folder, its not there. Of course I chose the option not to save outgoing messages, but then, it shouldnt display that message at all.
Another problem is the voice recorder. Even if you shout at it at the top of your voice, you can barely hear the recording. Unless you use the headsets.
The ring tones are ugly but the alert tones are nice! I love using the music player, although the headsets need much improvement. I keep adjusting it in my ear.
Faults and all, I still love my phone. Its packed with more features than some of its more expensive counterparts.
I highly recommend it.
