Following are the points I liked very much about Nokia 3120:
Better color display compared to 6610, 6100. Lesser flickering. Just keep 6610 and 3120 in front of yourself and see the difference in color display.
Enhanced micro browser for GPRS. The ’Go To Last URL’ allows you to resume your browsing once you have disconnected from GPRS and closed your browser.
Excellent battery life in terms of talk time.
The MMS facility is very good and even allows to send sound clips/ringtones ! This is not possible in many other nokia mobiles like 6610, 6100 etc.
The ’go to’ menu is a new feature which allows you to organize frequently used menu items.
Loudspeaker, although common in many nokia mobiles is a useful feature I found.
Excellent SMSing capabilities: Send to many & Send to List functions.
Voice quality, Network reception are good.. I havent encountered any problems so far !
Screensavers... you can put any jpg, gif, png picture file as screensaver. This feature is not present in 6610, 6100 mobiles.
Excellent calendar with reminder... repeats the b’day alarm every year (no need to create new reminder every year).
The few things that would have made 3120 much more sexier would be:
1. FM Radio
2. Minute Minder
3. Larger memory (its around 750kb)
To summarize, I will say that 3120 is an excellent mobile for 6000 bucks. It will give you the value for your money.
