This is my first review on Mouthshut. I got this phone a month back at Chennai(Price Rs 4950). I had initially wanted to Buy the 6610 , but sadly enough when I enquired I heard that it was out of production. So after reading reviews of this phone from Mouthshut and a demo from Univercell I decided to buy this phone
This phone does the well and is for starters on the colour phones side. I have’nt tried all the features of this phone as yet but just a brief on this phone.
Looks
Looks very elegant and official. I got the blue metallic colour which is catchy.
Features
Has all the basic features as other phone in its price band. The provision of Go to/Contacts option in the initial screen is a real good idea.
A bit of hard keys but I am not the one who sends a lot of SMS es .. So it is Ok for me.
The option of having flashing lights with an incoming call is also good.
The phone is sleek and lightweight
Havent tried sending MMS es .. so no comments on that.
Games -- I like this beach rally .. it is really cool
The loud speaker option is excellent and is very useful..
cons
1)Sadly enough there is no IR.. Other phones in this price (eg Samsung C100) have this feature
2) No facility/switch to change the call volume before receiving a call. Only after a call is recieved we can either increase or decrease the volume .. They could have provided a mechanism as in Samsung c100 or other higher priced Nokia phones
3) Can get scratched easily .. So I have laminated it ..
4) Display resolution could have better..
5) no composer .. so u can only receive ringtones and not send them..
Overall a very good basic colour phone from Nokia in the sub 5000 RS Category
