Its not the best phone from the NOKIA stable.
But one of their more economical colour/camera phones. Approximately INR 10, 000/- in the grey market. Maybe the price may have also come down a bit after the duty rebates.
The thing I hate about this particular model is the cumbersome twin numbered key pad.
Each key is a combination of two digits and gets quite confusing.
Its no great shakes as far as designing goes either. Pretty bulky if you compare it to the the other earlier colour/camera ones from NOKIA.
But the 6600 takes the cake for the most swollen up camera phone. Its BROAD !
Like I said earlier, its the economical price thats the only attraction.
The plasticky transparent look and the upturned edges makes it more thicker than it actually is.
Some nice coloured inlays come along with it for changing its looks.
Features a FM radio. GPRS, infrared and the works. Good voice quality and stable performance which is a hallmark of all NOKIA phones.
3 days normal usage standby on full charge. Hands free speaker phone with built in speaker or corded handsfree. Quite a boon when driving and you dont want to use a corded headset.
It also has a unique flashlight feature. Just keep the # key pressed for 3 seconds and hey presto a sharp beam of light illuminates the night owl.
Like I said earlier, its a stable and dependable instrument for those who crave for a colour camera instrument with FM radio and a flashlight to boot in the sub 10 thousand category and dont mind fumbling for the keys in the confusing keypad.
Let me hear from you guys about the other benefits or drawbacks in this model.
Regards
