As u must have known from my ratings, i’m totally fida over my phone.. Got it about a month ago, on 6th july, from a showroom in hyderabad. And believe me, I have waited for 9 months, i.e. since nov 2005 for it’s release just after lookin at the features listed in the nokia website.. And I should say, the phone has lived upto my expectations, if not exceeded them. The most impressive featuress are the 512 mb card that comes wid the phone, the 2 mp cam, the excellent sound and picture quality , life blog, and the list goes on.. The software u get in the cd is terrific.. I have some 300 songs in my phone right now and still ’ve filled only 200 of the 500 mb of memory, thanks to the ulead toolbox in the cd. It is an xpressmusic phone and plays almost all the existing formats. Most importantly the wma format which reduces a song to one tenth of its size with only a minimal loss in clarity!! Most of my songs take up only half Mb or so. I have’nt seen any othher phone do this though I tried to do so in many sony phones and even the hifi nokia ones like the 6680&it’s cousin, the 6681.
Comin to the camera, it captures upto 2Mp and the photos are very printable and crystal clear but only under proper lighting.. A little dimness and the pic goes all grainy. The absence of flash is one of the few disadvantages.. I got a few prints and they were actually as good as, even better than my good ole’ yashica..
The twist design is another cool thing.. wid its dedicated camera and music keys that are accesible at different angles I feel i’m carryin a digicam, a mp3 player, an organiser and a phone, all enclosed in one cute box. Those tjat complain about it’s size and style are adviced to consider it’s features once..
All in all, a steal for its price.. Imagine, if I get 300 songs in 200 mb, how many do I get in a GB? u right.. Nearly 1500 songs. And I don’t htink any sane person’ll need more than that much of music. The headset that comes wid the phone is another cool thing. U can connect the phone to any speaker of your choice.. Even a 200, 000 wattage thing provided u own such speakers in the first place..
I just can’t stop writing but considering your patience i’m forcing myself to.. I strongly advice u to buy the thing and check the rest of the features.. And for those who own the thing, CONGRATULATIONS! If u haven’t found the format stuff still, install the ulead toolbox from the other software in the cd u get wid da phone and click convert and then auio trim and batch convert in the ulead windo..Happy clickin, printing and listenin!!
