I am using Nokia 3310 for quite sometime.
There are few good reviews specially that of dopefishy2k, a long one narrating the features of the handy in detail. I have seen some reviews on it and everyone has expressed their satisfaction in their own style.
I like to share my experience in this review. Let me start with the difficulties:
- It is not made for the characters who cannot think life without computer. This phone is not for people who want to connect it to a PC / Palmtop and work.
- Not for the people who want to use mobile internet. Unfortunately it does not support WAP or FAX / data.
- According to some of my friends it is quite big and heavy. Weight is about 133 gm (to me its okay and grip is good even with the leather pouch), one of the reasons are NiMH battery. LiON (type BLC-2) battery is lighter, as per recommendation one can go for it.
Recommended price is Rs. 8, 500/-. Nokia 3310 is a good value for money for that price. One may go for it if someone is considering buying a low cost one that is dependable.
Following Features makes it a convenient cell phone
-SMS Chat. With improved SMS feature, longer message of up to 460 characters (not words or only alphabets) can be transmitted.
-Voice Dial enables you call by pressing a button using your own voice. Your voice may excite ‘someone special’.
- It’s a dual Band Phone. It can operate on GSM 900 MHz and 1800 MHz network. Very useful for those who travel a lot because network may have any of the above systems.
- It is equipped with latest codec and audio technology to give you the best sound and voice quality.
- Four Games – good time pass when flight is delayed by 2 hours
- Hearing aid, LPS-3, can be used
The cell phone is very sturdy. It has fallen trice on the concrete floor (without any cover) from my pocket but still going strong.
It is a very useful low cost cell phone and sturdy.
