Nokia 3310

I have been through many brands & models of cel phones in the time that I have been using them (5 years).

Human technology is right, this phone is really human in the way it thinks & works. Let me tell you what I love about this lil nokia...

1. You can assign specific ringing tones to specific numbers - Voila, you dont even have to look at the phone to know your sweetheart is calling, you just hear it & you know, how about when your boss calls, if you have assigned a specific tone to him, you’ll be on the alert for that too.

   
   




2. Chat function in SMS - you can carry on long chats through SMS with that dear old friend of yours who’s sitting miles away in the US of A while you are travelling in the dreary old 8:57 Churchgate local.

   
   




3. Call Register Memory : 20 recently called numbers !!! need I say any more ?

   
   




4. Ringing Tones : Hey this aint no phone, its a computer, it can receive ring tones from the internet. If you think you are Mozart, you can even compose your own.

   
   




5. Games : If you dont have a nokia 3310 yet, I suggest you borrow your pal’s and play snake 2, it should be banned, its so addictive ! & just check out space impact, if you can pull yourself away from snake 2, its like being ina games arcade. It even imparts force feedback through the vibra facility.

   
   




6. Hey, I let the cat outta the bag, This phone has vibrating alerts too !

   
   




7. Reminders : Its a regular Personal Information Manager, once you program your phone, it’ll remind you to wake up & go play tennis, to make that important call you forgot about the previous day & numerous other things.

   
   




8. Clock : If you’re the sporty type, you’ll just revel with the stopclock & with the countdown timer, you can pretend to be schwarznegger in commando.

   
   




9. You can also set up different ring tones & profiles to go to when you are in the disco, the church & in meetings.

   
   




10. Its even tougher than superman - just keeps falling down, but nothing can hurt its tough lil body.

    
    

Well, if all these reasons are making you giddy & lustful after this phone, let me tell you the only downside as I see it.

1. Battery - First of all, its Nickel Cadmium, which means , you cant charge it as & when you please, you gotta wait till its discharging (makes the funny beepy noises) to charge it. (or else, you screw up the battery in the long run).

   
   




2. Battery - Doesnt last long enough, 2 days at the outer, which just isnt long enough for me...

   
   

But all put together, I would recommend that you go out & buy this phone right NOW !
