If youre looking for a basic, cheap phone which can take a lot of damage and still keep ringing then this is the phone for you.
Its one of Nokias best sellers and uses the standard Nokia interface that makes its use a snap.
The cons are that
It doesnt have many features
The games suck
You could get embarassed by friend who think their dinky little phones are cooler (but then those models are imposs to actually USE).
It is bulky (not as bad as the 5110 but close) and heavy compared to newer models.
The styling is pretty passé, with more emphasis on functionality
But it is TOUGH! Ive dropped mine quite a number of times -- once even from the first floor of a building and it still worked. Now THAT impressed me.
Tough and Cheap, thats the best way to describe the phone, I got mine a year ago for £79 with a £10 O2 pay as you go sim card.
If youre looking for a phone cum camera there are some pretty good new Nokia models out there, if you want cool tunes etc. The Samsung models are great and if youre looking for a phone cum MP3 player cum camera cum PDA, the best bet is the Sony-Ericsson P900 (my new phone!), but if you just want a dependable phone, there isnt any thats better than this.
Its perfect for a starter phone or a backup phone if youre planning to go on backpack trips.
