When I purchased this handset in august 2003 I was discouraged by a few dealers, who called it as the most trouble giving model.
But apart from an initial updating of the software, Nokia 3530 never gave any trouble so far in these one and half years. The keypad is soft and handy, and when one gets used to it, even other few nokia phones feel too hard to compose an sms fast enough.
The casing is cool.the ringer volume louder than other comparable handsets of other companies.
The menu is easy to browse. But lacks few features as well.
But the navigation key allows only vertical movement. no key for horizontal movement. That makes the web browsing difficult.
No IR port or other connectivity option makes data transfer impossible from a pc.Even a data cable cannot be fitted.
The set is heavier , with a battery life of 2 days for a moderate user. The pricing and features makes it a balanced one.
Overall I am satisfied, and so far did not think of changing the handset, even when the price of other went lower day by day.
