When it comes to mobiles, Nokia 5110 packs all the features an average user would need. At the same time, it is a very economical on the pocket. Battery life is great with a full charge giving a 2.5 day standby time.
Screen is quite big with text displays not congested. Nicely arranged menus. A very good feature is the Navi-Key which accomodates all basic functions within maximum 3 clicks. The 2 arrow keys help you with browsing missed calls and the phone book.
Display has a brilliant illumination. One Press key locking and 23 different tones to choose from. Very distinct volume pitch. I love this phone.
In India, there are 2 phones, one with white ivory keys which are kind of rubbery, other with black ebonite keys
Both of them are not feather touch and you have to press hard to dial. The battery slot is loose. When battery is fitted, you can feel the jitter with a light thumb-press and moving it up and down. Because of this loose battery slot, some phones have a flickery display.
Otherwise, if you get a good instrument from an authorised dealer, the phone is a gem as compared to other models. If you want a lighter phone and have heavy pockets, go for 8210.
