When I pondered about replacing my previous phone, that was also a beauty. If you have read my previous review.I wanted something, that would have helped me work wise and some form of entertainment to kill the few ounces of boredom.
This was the period around 2003-04, people were attracting towards i-pods and normal walkman.Since, phones with actual mp3 systems costed way too much. However, I found something that would have helped me both ways and it didnt cost too much.At that time, I would have given a little more to have an actual smartphone.
While, the technology hadnt advanced much.so, Nokia 5130 express music was the perfect buy for my liking. It had similar but more advanced features from my previous phone which was Nokia 2690.Apart from the normal recording, memory card and calling features. This then new phone gave me 2.0 megapixel camera sharpness, much clearer video display than the Nokia 2690 phone and a mp3 player or an in-built player that was solely made for running music like ever before.
The sheer sound quality was mind-blowing and the contrast of every transmission of the audio felt like a live atmosphere.Phone calls were never so crystal clear, you could actually have a dorm room discussion and even a board meeting.Few applications that I tried running in my Nokia 2690 phone didnt run. But, it played away smoothly in Nokia 5130 express music. It was a worthy buy at that time.
Though, I would recommend everyone to not drop it too much, cause this shots its ICs and the camera doesnt work.
My phone does not work now.Still, I havent thrown it away.I want to keep it, until I repair its IC and give it to my little cousin.Who will take it, when he grows up.
Dont throw it away, if you have it.
