The Nokia 5210 has a divided opinion.Some hate it, some love it and some find it okay-okay.But personally, i find it to be the perfect phone for the Indian scenario, even ahead of the highly used 3000 series models.The major attraction is the durable and tuff cover, which is garunteed to last in the indian scence, which involves running to catch a train or bus, accidental drops..and many other situations.The only downside of the rubber cover is stain it can get stainted very quickly.
The Nokia 5210 comes with a pastel orange backlight, and a california sunburned orange cover in the sales package.It looks different from the standard mobile phone, and the backlight matches to all express-on shells for this phone(blue, yellow, green).The phone presents a standard Nokia menu featuring from messages to Services, but the Extras menu is there, for mostly sports oriented or just time-pass, like a built in thermometer and a stopwatch.The phone also features a Ring Tone composer(handy for sending your tunes to a friend) and a picture composer, so you can edit received pictures to your taste.The two great points in the Messages section is the concenacted long messages for message freaks like me, and the chat feature.The phone also features a vibra(a very important) feature, and the vibrator is good, despite my thought that the rubber casing may reduce the effect.Rhythimic backlights is also a very good feature included.
The Nokia 5210 is a good phone, and I would not change this one for a long time, until the 5210’s colour version, the 5100 is launched in early 2003.Check the phone out a https://nokia.com/phones.
In the end, after a month of usage, i find the 5210 to be near perfection.A good phone, very handy, tuff and great for the normal user who wants functionality as well as looks and durablity.It would have joined the ranks of the 8310 and 6510, but unfortunately cannot as the size and that it does not provide a dynamic memory like those phones.
