I have purchased Nokia 5230 from Global Access Store located at Frazer Town (on Mosque Road) for Rs. 8300. Most of the other stores dont show you the model, hence its very difficult to make a purchase decision. However, I found this store to be very useful, as they showed me the model of the phone, explained the features as well and I didnt have to wait for long. The Mobile Store has this model, but only in limited stores and even if you request for this model, they take a lot of time to get you this phone. They will tempt you with the offers they have, but theres no point in waiting for the salesmen to get you the phone, and you should not make an order for it, as theres no guarantee about when the phone will be delivered. UniverCell Stores also has this model, however they quote a higher price.
Plus qualities
Nokia 5230 has good sound quality and you can even edit images in the phone, (cropping, including frames, etc..) which is a great feature. It has GPS which is a great feature to have, when youre lost in traffic or in the city and cannot find your way. You can also display few chosen people on your homescreen, in case of emergency or for easy access, sending or calling them. You can also check and update facebook, provided you get the internet access on the pho ne, as the phone does not come with Wi-fi. Looks neat and elegant. The view of the phone changes, depending on how you hold the phone. So you get a wide screen. The phone also has dictionary and converter. As it has Bluetooth, you can easily share songs and stuff.
Minus qualities
However, as its a touch screen model, be careful in maintaining it. Its quite a pain to type using the stylus, especially when youre on the move. It has handwriting feature, so you can just write on the screen and the phone will identify the words and type out your message. The video quality is quite bad, as the images are blurred. The model comes with limited memory, so you may need to purchase a memory card.
All in all, Im quite satisfied with the model and picture clarity.
