Value for money in Branded Touch Screen range

I bought this phone from Big Bazaar in Ahmedabad and went on with its features on the same day.

I was completely amazed by the price (INR 7380 with Car Charger) & features bundled together. Its 2.0 Megapixel camera is truly amazing. It takes almost true pictures.

First come first - the Screen Size.. its really large compared to its other contemporary phones like Corby & LG cookie pep. This bigger screen size helps in navigation & seeing the webpages at much ease. The video & images are looking amazing on larger screen. I surf yahoo mails & cricinfo (during IPL fever) more when I am on the go. The large screen size really helps you seeing the content quite nicely. The design is OK. Stylus is neatly embedded into on back side of the phone. Sensor in front helps you save the battery (that’s what the claim is but I really don’t know how big difference it makes).

Its Symbian OS literally lets you use large number of contacts database along with SMSes compared to other JAVA based phones of Cookie Pep & Corby (this is the drawback of JAVA based OS). As businessmen, I’ve large number of contact addresses - this OS really helps.

Sound quality being a music phone should not be questioned.. it’s wonderful. I haven’t checked the headphones yet (it’s just a week I purchased the phone.). The touchscreen experience is also very very good wherein I’ve used other Chinese kinda mobiles (dont want to name those), you literally bang your finger on screen as if the screen is to be broken.

Menu style, the hand - writing recognition is par excellence. Even when the screen is moved in horizontal directions, the QWERTY keyboard for SMS in landscape mode is quite good. The characters are fairly spaced. The Camera - although it’s of 2 Megapixel camera - the picture & video quality is very good. It take a little backdrop in low light areas. The speakerphone function which I use quite frequently is OK unlike to the quality that I’ve seen of Corby, Nokia 5310, Supernova, HTC touch viva but it’s not matching to that of Nokia 3500 C. Haven’t gone through OVI Store apps, GPS & other small features. Once I do that I will update it later.

Drawbacks:One must take utmost care in inserting the SIM card & memory card in its slot. There’s no visible distinguishable mark there for each of that. By mistake if you insert the wrong one, you have to pray to god to let you go off the hook this time round. Even, if you insert correctly, you want to take either SIM or memory card out, you ought to have hairpin (gals) kinda thing with you to take it out - without damaging the cards.

On the whole, its worth the money - Go buy it.
