Nokia 5300 is handset which appears to be great on paper but actually a trully horrible piece. First of all is its body which is made of plastic. Leave alone withstanding the blow of fall from great heights it wont even withstand the pressure when kept in pocket of a tight jeans pant pocket. It has good sound qulity with loud sound output but the music player interface is horrible. There is no option for creating playlist, even the ringtones are added into library. Everytime we add some content into phone we have to update its library manually.GPRS/EDGE usage a great experience on it only if the Connection setting is readymade or done by someone else. But if you are going to do the settings manually then you will feel like burning or crushing the phone under a road roller. All Nokia phones have very bad GPRS setting interafce. No one can do it even with phone manual in your hand and all connection setting in front of you.Even the Nokia expert will require 2-3 hours to make the settings work.If it works in phone browser then doesnt work in java aplication or vice versa. If you get it work on both the places then itslike you scaled Mt. Everest or reached the moon. Also it takes too much time opening the folders in memory card.Camera quality s good for a 1.3 MP camera.Music buttons on the side of handset are so hard & small that you have to use your nails to make them work. Also battery abckup is so weak that it can only provide 2hrs of music playback on speaker. Its requires daily or at most alternate day charging on normal use.
